Today is the 8th of April and the year is 2010. 367 days ago I was hit by a truck. I was in the cross walk and he hit me and shoved me backwards about 20 feet. I was lucky enough to stay on my feet, and so I only received minor injuries. As lucky as I was the fact remains: if I hadn't stayed on my feet, I may have been killed or dismembered.
Just over a year ago I came the closest I've ever been to death, but I survived. It feels good to still be alive, to still be breathing and bitching about the weather. It's nice to be alive and have car troubles and work-place drama. Life is the best thing we all have in common, and it should be celebrated.
Today I'm going to try to do something to celebrate life, and pass it along.
